Built by lawn-care people, for lawn-care people.
We are building Roots because we spend our days in the same trucks, on the same phones, and inside the same software you do.
We work with you.
Roots is shaped around how a lawn-care business actually runs. Building the software is half of it. The other half is how we show up once you’re running on it.
Built with operators
Shaped around the routes you run.
We build alongside working lawn-care companies, and we listen more than we talk. It's why the things other software treats as edge cases are the day job here: side-of-street routing, application records, weather capture for compliance, and routes the field can finish without crossing the street with a hose.
Support that helps
A real person who knows the work.
When you need a hand, you get someone who knows lawn care and knows Roots, and a short path to the team building it. Not a script, and not a number in a queue.
Connections with care
Deliberate, not bolted on.
Where it helps your operation, Roots connects to the tools you already rely on, and runs cleanly alongside the ones you decide to keep. We do that deliberately, so the links you count on are ones we stand behind.

Two paths. One product.
Roots started with two longtime friends.
Colin runs a lawn-care company in Montana. Year after year, route after route, he kept hitting the same wall: the software meant to run the industry had quietly stopped working for the people doing the work.
Tom went the other direction. He founded a successful software business, Jebbit, and grew it from the ground up as its CEO. A different field with different problems, but the same instinct for shipping things people actually want and can use.
Roots is the product we wanted and couldn’t buy.
One day Colin asked Tom a simple question: could routing be done better? Tom brought in a small design and development team to consult and problem-solve. The more they looked at what operators were up against, the clearer it got that the real fix wasn’t a patch. It was a whole new platform.
Tom wanted Roots to carry the attention to customer service and customer-centered design that Jebbit was built on, so he brought in familiar faces and trusted colleagues to build it. That is still the bar we hold ourselves to: support that treats your season like it matters, from people who know the work. It’s a standard we intend to keep as the team grows, not grow out of.
